(2) Boot up your system and then press "Del" key to enter the "CMOS Setup Utility" menu. The number of MBytes for WinFast ADIMM-128 is displayed in "Extend Graphics Memory" -> "Integrated Peripherals". If it is 0 (zero) MByte, you have to re-install ADIMM-128. Make sure the connection is working well between ADIMM-128 and your mainboard. Then reboot your system.

4) When Windows is booted up, the "Found New Hardware Wizard" window will pop up. Select "Install from a list or specific locations (Advanced)". Next, choose "Include this location in the search" and click "Browse" to select the Driver CD. Select the directory "WinFast TV\DRV\" and then click Next. Repeat step 4 until all device drivers are installed.

"FM" button: When the computer is on, pressing the button will launch WinFast FM. When the computer is off, pressing will turn on the computer and launch WinFast FM.
"DVD" button: When the computer is on, pressing the button will launch Power DVD. When the computer is off, pressing the button will turn on the computer and launch Power DVD.
6. When WinFast PVR2/WinFast FM/Power DVD is on, pressing the "Power" button will end the current application.
7. Pressing "Power" button again, a menu (please see the figure below) will appear for you to choose the function you wish to use.
Note: After turning off the computer, please do not turn the switch of the master power (on the back of the computer) off, or disconnect the power to the computer. Without power supply the "Power" button will not function. |

The formal syntax of the dial plan is described by the following notations:

A dial plan, according to this syntax, is defined by either a (case insensitive) string or by a list of strings. Regardless of the above syntax, a timer is only applicable if it appears in the last position in a string (for example "12T3" is invalid). Each string is an alternate numbering scheme.
The unit will process the dial plan by comparing the current dial string against the dial plan. If the result is underqualified (partial match for at least one entry) then it will do nothing further. If the result matches or over-qualified (no other digits could possibly produce a match), then send the string to the server and clear the dial string. The Timer T is activated to find a match in strings. The interval between timer T is 4 seconds. For example, a dial plan of (xxxT|xxxxx) will find a match immediately if all 5 digits are entered. When 3 digits are entered it will find a match after a 4 second pause.
Sample Dial Plans:
a) Simple Dial Plan: Allows dialing of 7 digit numbers (e.g. 5551234) or an operator with a prefix of "0". The Dial plan is (0T|xxxxxxx).
b) Non-dialed Line Dial Plan: As soon as a handset is lifted, the unit contacts the gatekeeper (it is used in systems where DTMF detection is done in-call). The Dial plan is denoted by sequence of "x." i.e. find a match against 0 (or more) digits. Note: the dot "." matches 0 or more occurances of x .
c) Complex Dial Plan: Possible combinations are:
- Local operator on 0
- long distance operator on 00
- four digit local extension number starting with 3,4 or 5

Some service providers automatically upgrade the firmware everytime you power on the BVA. When doing so, since it takes longer than usual for the BVA to complete the upgrade process and start working again, you might hastily interrupt the process. When this happens, contact your service provider and try the "HTTP Download Method" on the BVA setup webpage manually. So upgrade for BVA is still possible.

BVA's AEC (Automatic Echo Cancellation) is the function to eliminate echoes. Check if your AEC is turned off. The AEC setting in SIP menu can be adjusted. It is recommended that you keep the AEC setting always "on" since the propagation delay over internet is greater than the traditional phone line, and therefore echo is easily noticed. If the other caller hears echoes after you turned on the AEC, you might want to try another phone set, since BVA is designed to work with telephone set in USA. The phone resistance is at 600 ohms. Some phone set might not be designed for this specifications, as mismatch in resistance echoes might result in echoes.

Look for keywords like "dialing information", "dial tone transmission", "in-band/out-of-band signaling", "dialing: audio/data"…etc. Try to change the mode to enable base station generating DTMF tone just like the normal telephone set. |

To find out if the device is registered online with AR15 or a higher version of firmware application is used, check with the “PHONE” LED on the front panel. Another way to check is that the IP dial tone is not heard if the phone is not registered. Of course, this does not affect your access to the landline (for 8051S/D). You can also use a traffic sniff program, such as "ethereal", to find out the exact port number that it uses. These information pretty much gives you an idea of which ports need to be open for firewall. |

The scanner finds a list of “in-use” addresses to use later in a more aggressive attack: If the information is useful attackers can somehow trick the DMZ unit into accessing another device, or giving out information on other systems/addresses behind the NAT.
Why would an attacker bother to characterize an unknown non-PC type device to exploit its vulnerabilities?
A few randomly placed ATA/videophones are probably not worth hacking when there’s plenty of other users with incorrectly configured standard routers, or unprotected PCs. If the distribution is more dense then it's prone to hackers.

Check if both units are behind the same NAT router. In some router implementations, the router does not correctly forward the packet from the public interface to private interface. For example, both units (unit A uses private IP address 192.168.1.100, media port 9000 and unit B with private IP address 192.168.1.101, media port 9002) are behind the same router (with IP address 10.215.11.44) and use STUN. When unit A wanted to make a call to unit B, A would send media packet to address 10.215.11.44:9002. If the router does not forward the packets to unit B's private address 192.168.1.101:9002, the media stream can't pass through.
Solution : Change the router settings so that the router opens the media port (usually in the range of 8000-9984) to the ATA. (Many routers have“port forwarding”or“port triggering”options to forward traffic on the port to the ATA behind the router. Check your router documents for furter details.

How does Leadtek ATA traverse NAT? |

Dealing with NAT traversal is not easy. However, we have solutions to deal with all 4 NAT types: Full cone, restricted NAT, port restricted NAT and symmetric NAT.
In order to traverse NAT you need to know your router's NAT type first. Use a computer to run the WINSTUN program. This will do a basic STUN check to a STUN server on the internet (by default it uses "larry.gloo.net", but it can be changed).
Note:
(1) there are some routers that are applicable to STUN router.
(2) what has been tested is the entire router from endpoint to server - if one STUN is traversable but not the other, then overall the router is non-STUN friendly.
The first 3 NAT types can be resolved using STUN server. In your web configuration, enable STUN and input an appropriate STUN server address. Select "Use STUN for SDP media address and port". Reboot your ATA for changes to be taken effectively.
The most tricky one is symmetric NAT. We solve symmetric NAT by using RTP relay function. In order to use RTP relay make sure: 1) your SIP server supports it; 2) disable STUN. In the web configuration, change SIP server to a server that supports RTP relay (ie. an outbound proxy server); disable STUN. Reboot your ATA for changes to be effective.

This can be caused by the NAT (Network Address Translation) operation. Multiples of "private" IP addresses are provided by the router to various devices on your network/LAN, but in public internet, a public IP address is required for connecting devices. This is done most commonly by mapping PRIVATE IP to PUBLIC IP address/port. Packet for PUBLIC IP will be sent to PRIVATE IP packet, and packets originating from PRIVATE IP is treated as PUBLIC IP. Note that IP address for public port is required for the SIP device. Make sure BVA uses STUN server and is STUN-enabled. Ask your service provider for IP address or FQDN of the STUN server, and their corresponding ports. In order to overcome the NAT operation some service provider uses STUN server instead. Consult your provider for detailed information. |

Why are users unable to make calls? |

This might be caused by many different reasons. You might want to first check at the basics:
1. Check if your network works.
The best way is to visit the webpage of the BVA if you know its IP address. If your BVA is connected to the router and the DHCP is turned on (in most of the units the DHCP is turned on), you should be able to find out the IP address through the router. Normally on the webpages of the routers it will list all information connected to the devices. You can use the MAC ID of the BVA as a clue to locate its IP address. Once you know the address, you can use the same PC which is connected to the router to browse the webpage of the BVA by entering its IP address. If you can access the webpage of BVA, it is correctly connected.
2. Check if your BVA can access the internet.
Just because your BVA's webpage can be seen it does not mean the router is properly setup at WAN side. There are several ways to verify that. Firstly, the webpages of the router should tell you if the WAN connection is OK. There are several different ways in WAN connections. The most common ones are via DHCP in the case of connecting to Cable Modem, or via PPPoE in the case of connecting to DSL Modem. Whichever case the WAN is, the connection status should be shown somewhere in the router's webpages. Secondly, as an indirect indication, the fact that your PC uses the same router for browsing on the internet also helps explain that the router works properly.
3. Check if you are registered on the SIP proxy.
Check if the User Name, Password, Phone Number, Proxy Server address and port are correct. Some service providers allow you to check if you are on-line via your portals. |

The 2wire home dsl router has difficulties working with SIP adapters. Follow the directions below for details:
Initially you will need to access your router:
Inside your router determine the IP address of your ATA by matching up the MAC address at the bottom of your sip device. For example " 00300404e811". Inside your 2wire dsl modem, it will link to an IP address 172.16.0.38.
The next step is to open a new browser window (by pressing "Ctrl + N") and enter http://172.16.0.38 , which is the IP address of your ATA.
Inside your ATA select "LAN -> LAN Settings". Check the DNS recursion dialog box and click save.
Click reset in the left frame, and make sure to reset the main application.
Now you will need to select your router configurations and setup port forwarding inside your 2wire modem. Once you are at the main page of your router, click "view firewall settings". Click "edit settings -> computer" and type in the IP address of your ATA.
You will then need to add three user-defined applications:

This occurs if you have problems communicating between multiple SIP devices within the same intranet, or problems with multiple SIP devices connected but with only one-way audio system working. The problem usually lies in the fact that both SIP devices all use the same RTP (real-time transport protocol) ports.
If devices behind the same NAT all use the default signaling port (5060) to register to the public network after NAT mappings, it seems that all registration requests come from the same public address and port. The SIP server will have difficulty to identify as to where to return the response.
Solutions: Try to randomize the SIP signaling and RTP port of your units so as to minimize the chance for using the same port. Go to "SIP->SIP->Port settings", and select "Randomize RTP and SIP ports".

Make sure your analog phone is plugged into the line jack at the back of the ATA.
If you attempt to dial out using the speed dial function you may experience calls that do not connect. Try to dial the phone number manually.
If your phone is constantly ringing when you connect it to the ATA, you may need to purchase a converter from a local electronics store.
Here are more technical information for the technophiles:
US systems use biased ringing (70-100V, 20Hz AC superimposed on 48V DC) whereas European systems often use non-biased ringing (70-100V, 17Hz AC). This can be a problem especially for phones using mechanical ringers.
Other difference is that the US phones are 600 ohm which are different to European ones. A mismatch usually results in echoes.

You might have heard that hackers can modify a GeForce to a Quadro card, and that these cards have very similar performances but with some exceptions: Quadro is the only card meeting all workstation applications while GeForce card is only 95% similar to the Quadro. Therefore Quadro consumers prefer Quadro FX because they need the extra 5% the Quadro platform offers over GeForce.
What's the most important characteristic of a workstation graphics card? The term "professional workstation" can imply: expectations of high quality, excellent reliability, responsive support, and high performance. Workstation users generally expect their system to help them achieve great success .
Differences between a Professional Card (Quadro) and a Gaming Card (GeForce):
The Quadro FX professional series is highly similar to consumer GeForce FX lines. Both share a common design architecture including DirectX 9/OpenGL programmable fragment/pixel and vertex shaders, pipelines, and support for floating-point frame buffer. Product Line Differences --
There are notable differences between Quadro and GeForce cards, and a great effort is put into creating the perfect solution for both parties.
Anti-aliased points and lines for wire frame display
A unique feature of Quadro GPUs is supporting anti-aliased lines in hardware, which has nothing in common with GeForce's full-scene anti-aliasing. It works for lines (but not for shaded polygons) without sacrificing system performance or taking extra video memory for over-sampling. Since this feature is standardized by OpenGL, it is supported by most professional applications.
OpenGL logic operations
Another unique feature of Quadro GPUs is supporting OpenGL Logical Operations which can be implemented as the last step in the rendering pipeline before contents is written to the frame buffer. For example workstation applications can use this functionality to mark a selection by a simple XOR function. When this function is done in hardware, such significant performance loss as a GeForce adapter would cause will not happen. OpenGL can be used for either consumer or workstation adapters.
The most common applications for GeForce adapters are full-screen OpenGL games. CAD applications work with OpenGL windows in combination with 2D-elements.
Up to eight clip regions (GeForce supports one)
A typical workstation application contains 3D and 2D elements. And while view ports display window-based OpenGL function, menus, rollups and frames are still 2D elements. They often overlap each other. Depending on how they are handled by the graphics hardware, overlapping windows may noticeably affect visual quality and graphics performance. When windows are not overlapped, the entire contents of the color buffer can be transferred to the frame buffer in a single, continuous rectangular region. However, if windows do overlap, transfer of data from the color buffer to the frame buffer must be broken into a series of smaller, discontinuous rectangular regions. These rectangular regions are referred to as "clip" regions.
GeForce Hardware supports only one clip region which is sufficient for displaying menus in OpenGL. Quadro GPUs support up to 8 clip regions in hardware, keeping up the performance in normal workflow using CAD/DCC applications.
Hardware accelerated clip planes
Clip planes allow specific sections of 3D-objects to be displayed so that users can look through the solid objects for visualizing assemblies. For this reason, many professional CAD/DCC applications do provide clip planes. The GPU of the Quadro family supports clip-plane acceleration in hardware - a significant improvement in performance when they are used in professional applications.
Optimization on Memory usage for multiple graphics windows
Another feature offered by the GPUs of Quadro family is Quadro memory management optimization, which efficiently allocates and shares memory resources between concurrent graphics windows and applications. In many situations, this feature directly affects application performance and offers considerable benefits over consumer-oriented GeForce GPU family.
The graphics memory is used for frame buffer, textures, caching and data. NVIDIA's unified memory architecture allocates the memory resources dynamically instead of keeping a fixed size for the frame buffer. Instead of wasting the unused frame buffer memory, UMA (Unified Memory Architecture) allows it to be used for other buffers and textures. When applications require more memory from quad-buffered stereo or full scene anti-aliasing, manage resources efficiently has becomre a more important issue.

Support for two-sided lighting
Quadro hardware supports two-sided lighting. Non-solid objects may display triangles from their "backside" when viewing the objects from the inside. Two-sided lighting prevents the lighting effect from dropping to zero when the object surface normal points away from the lighting source. As a result, these "backward-facing" triangles will remain visible from all possible viewing angles.
Hardware overlay planes
The user interface of many professional applications often require elements to be interactively drawn on top of a 3D model or scene. The cursor, pop-up menus or dialogs will appear on top of the 3D-viewport. These elements can damage the contents of the covered windows or affect their performance and interactivity.
To avoid this, most professional applications use overlay planes. Overlay planes allow items to be drawn on top of the main graphics window without damaging the contents of the windows underneath. Windows drawn in the overlay plane can contain text, graphics etc - the same as any normal window.
The planes also support the transparency function, which when set allows pixels from underneath the overlayed window to show through. They are created as two separate layers. This prevents possible damage to the main graphics window and it also improves performance. Likewise, showing an overlayed window as transparent with graphics inside allows items in the user interface to be drawn over the main graphics window.
Clearing and redrawing only the overlayed window is significantly faster than redrawing the main graphics window. This is how animated user-interface components can be drawn over 3D models or scenes.
Support for quad-buffered stereo for shutter glasses
The Quadro GPU family supports quad-buffered stereo, but GeForce GPU family does not. Quad-buffered stereo is a type of OpenGL functionality which does not depend on any special stereo hardware to show the effect. Two pictures, both double-buffered, are generated. Display is done alternately or interlaced, depending on the output device.
Many professional applications like 3ds max, SolidWorks or StudioTools allow users to view models or scenes in three dimensions using a stereoscopic display. It can be done by a plug-in like in Solidworks, an application driver like MAXtreme in 3ds max, an external viewer like QuadroView for autocad-based products, or by the application itself. The use of stereoscopic display is to have an overview in complex wire frame constructions, making walkthroughs much more realistic and impressive or simply to improve the display of large 3D-scenes. Stereo support on Quadro GPU family significantly benefits professional applications that demand stereo viewing capabilities.

ActiveX Control Download Indication :
1. When a red cross appeared at the top-left corner of the ActiveX viewer(IE), what can I do?
a) Make sure your local PC specification meets the bottom line requirement of SMC
b) Go to the Internet Custom Level setting under Security setting tab in th browser's internet options. Set the security level to Medium-High (default) and check settings for ActiveX control and plug-ins, make sure none is disabled, change them to “Prompt”. a) Right-click on the banner, and select the option to unblock it.

Set the security level to Medium-High (default) and check settings for ActiveX control and plug-ins, make sure none is disabled, change them to “Prompt”. Close the browser, and re-open the page.

Please try below suggestions about your system :
1. Check if the green light is full in your application panel as the picture below.
The signal strength is good when you get full green light.
PS:If the signal lights are red as the picture below, it means your signal strength is bad.
Please adjust your antenna until you get the full green light.
2. What kind of antenna is in use ?
2-1. In-door aerial or out-door aerial ?
2-2. VHF support only or UHF/VHF both support ?
2-3. Many cheap in-door antenna is VHF only.
2-4. Our TV Tuner Receiving Frequency VHF 170~230MHz, UHF 470~862MHz.
2-5. Check if your area have UHF channel.
2-6. If you use VHF aerial but your area have UHF channel , then you can not get the UHF channel.
3. If your signal full, or only one column less, however, with bad video quality, then please adjust your antenna(aerial):
3-1. If you use a In-door aerial , please try to move it beside the window until you can get smooth video playback.
3-2. Or try to use a out-door aerial which supports both UHF and VHF to get good receive sensitivity (the capability of a DVB-T tuner card to receive weak signals)
Conclusion:
If you find the Leadtek Digital TV Tuner card stuttering or failing to load, maybe you need a better antenna. It may not be the problem with the card/driver/software after all. |

Screw the radiator to the expansion panel.
Step 3:
Install the VGA card into the PCI-Express slot and screw the mounting bracket to the chassis.
Step 4:
Connect 4-pin fan connector with the VGA card from the radiator.
Step 5:
Connect +12V power connector with the radiator from the power supply unit.
Step 6:
Turn on the system and check the functionality of cooling fan and radiator, make sure the cooling fan is running and the liquid within the tube is not blocked.
The position of radiator must be higher than graphics card for best cooling circulation
Please do not upside down the radiator while operating, otherwise the cooling system may function abnormallt.
- Please do not disassemble, reform, or damage the cooling system (including rubber tube), otherwise the warranty will be voided.
- During warranty period, user doesn’t need to refill the coolant.
- If VGA card functions abnormally, please contact with the retailer or Leadtek directly for further support.

There are some software (ChrisTV) or CODEC PACK will install ffdshow.
Please change the setting of “Raw video CODEC” in the ffdshow to "Disabled".
