cuDNN
NVIDIA cuDNN is a GPU accelerated library of primitives for deep neural networks that provides highly tuned implementations for standard routines; these routines are commonly used in DNN applications, including Convolution, Pooling, Softmax, Sigmoid, ReLU or TANH. It is supported by most mainstream deep learning frameworks nowadays, such as Caffe, TensorFlow, MxNet, CNTK and PyTorch.
NVLINK
GPU can quickly process large amounts of data, but the bottleneck for performance usually occurs at the bandwidth of the PCI-E transmission interface. NVLINK is a high-bandwidth interconnection that enables ultra-fast communication between the CPU and GPU, and between GPUs. The technology allows data sharing at rates 5 to 10 times faster than traditional PCIe Gen3 interconnections.
NCCL
The systems of data centers usually have more than one set of GPU cards. In order to exert maximum performance through the GPU, the use of NCCL technology can drive multi-GPU to perform computations simultaneously, reducing the AI development time significantly.
TensorRT

National Tsing Hua University - Department of Chemical Engineering

Physical Science Computation

During the development process, simulation testing and theoretical verification had to be performed several times for the reactor and process design using the CAE software, examining the manufacturability of the design using the highest specifications. A research team of the chemical engineering department composed of professor Shi-Shang Jang, professor David Shan-Hill Wong and professor Yuan Yao indicated that the use of CAD / CAE software is needed for the reactor system design and process improvement project. Since simulation systems involve highly complex transmission phenomena and chemical reactions, therefore it requires a supercomputer that can speed up the processing of large amounts of data. Dr. Yao-Chen Chuang of the chemical engineering department stated that after setting up the WinFast GS4820 server, the computation speed was increased to 5~8 times the original speed for CAE software simulations. Development projects that originally required a month were shortened and analyses were able to be completed within a week.

Increased Deep Learning Module Development Speed

Distinguished professor of National Chiao Tung University's Electrical and Computing Engineering Department and Institute of Electrical and Control Engineering professor Bing-Fei Wu indicated that the key to allowing deep learning technology to show its strength not only requires large amounts of data to train the algorithm model, but also depends on whether the bottleneck of computation resource accuracy can be broken through.
