Taipei, Taiwan, September 1, 2011 –Leadtek Research Inc., known globally for its extreme visual graphics technology development, today announces that it has joined the Taiwan Mobile (TWM) cloud alliance to bring high standard, quality and security IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) solutions to enterprises looking to procure cloud services. TWM has its own self-developed cloud platform and the company has teamed up with 15 Taiwan-based technology firms and service providers to guarantee the full transformational benefits of cloud computing. The alliance will empower and enable Taiwan businesses looking for new ways to create a more flexible B2B model.
TWM announces its new green IDC (Internet Data Center) in Taipei and is introducing the alliance partners including Quanta, Wistron, Leadtek, NVIDIA, Gamania, MacroWell, Yam, ezPeer, GigaMedia, SuperMicro, Tai-Win, Softstar, etc., providing cloud computing integrated service with software, hardware and other service, which presents the best solutions for enterprises running B2B2C businesses in the near future.
TWM teamed up with 15 Taiwan-based technology firms and service providers to provide cloud service.
“We are ready for cloud computing service. With over 20 years experience in visual computing and Remote Desktop technology, Leadtek can offer the best solutions to fulfill gaming companies' needs, whether in game development or operation. We will step forward to be a content service provider, providing an optimized business platform,” said Leadtek President Lu Kun-Shan.
TWM's IaaS cloud computing is the delivery of computing on demand as a shared service, avoiding the cost of investing in, operating and maintaining hardware. It offers a way to increase capacity or add capabilities by leasing on the fly without investing in new infrastructure, training new personnel, or licensing new software. The client typically pays on a per-use basis. NVIDIA, Leadtek's long-term partner, owns its advanced visual computing technology and the whole range of product lines includes consumer graphics chips, visual computing system and HPC (High Performance Computing), which is the foundation for offering more stability and efficiency to digital content, animation, multimedia and gaming applications.
Leadtek President Lu Kun-Shan commented, “We welcome more companies to join this alliance in an effort to boost its cloud computing-related services in the future. The alliance will bring the innovation and value promised by cloud computing to most companies.”
