So today, Leadtek has brought reviews of two entry-level professional graphics cards just released this year: NVIDIA® T400 and T600.

01 SPECviewperf 2020 benchmarks

SPECviewperf 2020 is mainly used to evaluate the professional graphics performance of graphics cards, including common 3ds Max, Maya, Catia, UG NX, Solidworks, Creo software tests, as well as Medical and Energy simulation performance tests. The score is obtained by simulating the speed of the interactive operation of the software, and we can see the relative performance of graphics cards.

From the results, the performance of T400 has considerably improved over P400. In many applications, the performance increase is close to 100%, and even close to P620; the performance increase of T600 over P620 is equally astonishing, reaching 60% to 90%.

The performance improvement of this update is unprecedented, and the entry-level graphics card with compact size is enough to handle more tasks and larger data models.

02 Superposition real-time rendering benchmarks

Contrary to offline rendering, Superposition benchmarks the performance of real-time rendering. The camera is roaming in the 3D scene, and the graphics card renders the movement of objects, lighting and shadows, and materials in real time, and then outputs to the display device.

In real-time rendering performance of DX and OpenGL, T400 has an improvement of nearly 100% compared to P400, and T600 has an improvement of about 60% compared to P620, indicating that the real-time rendering performance has substantially improved.

03 Encoding and decoding benchmarks

For entry-level graphics cards, in addition to graphic design and small drawings, another occasion with more applications is encoding and decoding. Entry-level graphics cards are widely used in video conferencing, video transcoding and other fields.

Judging from the benchmarks, the encoding performance of T400 and T600 are almost the same, which has also improved compared to the previous generation:

In H.264 and H.265 encoding performance, both T400 and T600 have a 50% improvement over P400, and both have a 37% improvement over P620.

Decoding performance comparison

The H.264 decoding performance of T400 and T600 are pretty much the same, with an improvement of 60% compared to P400 and 38% compared to P620; in H.265 decoding, T400 has improved by about 70% compared to P400; T600 has improved by 72% over P620. T400 and T600 will provide a better and faster experience for video editing applications.

3D graphics design: The performance of NVIDIA T400 and T600 has improved by more than 60% compared to NVIDIA Quadro P400 and P620.
