NVIDIA Quadro® G-Sync Technology at Computex Taipei

Leadtek Research Inc. , the exclusive workstation partner of NVIDIA in Asia except in Japan, will introduce the fastest performing graphics solution for advanced visualization in the industry with the new NVIDIA Quadro® FX 4400G at the Computex Taipei 2005 show from 31 May to 4 June.

Many interactive graphics visualization applications require the use of multiple systems to drive multiple displays or projectors. It is extremely important that these systems (graphics pipelines) treat the displays collectively as one continuous “virtual canvas” that behaves as though it were one large logical display. In addition, the applications for video and post-production require the ability to synchronize graphics with other input streams and recording devices for video effects, editing, and compositing. The Quadro FX 4400G unleashes these capabilities – called “ genlock ,” “ frame lock ,” or “frame sync” – that have traditionally only been available on expensive, proprietary hardware platforms.

The NVIDIA Quadro FX 4400G graphics solution is based on the industry's highest performing and most advanced workstation graphics board, the NVIDIA Quadro FX 4400. Armed with a radically new graphics architecture engineered to address the most demanding challenges, the ultra-high end GPUs of NVIDIA Quadro FX 4400 deliver unprecedented power and performance capabilities with unmatched features and capabilities for workstation professionals. Quadro FX 4400G features a revolutionary new architecture with 2x the geometry and fill rate, 5x the hardware pixel read-back performance and 1.25x the memory bandwidth of previous generation workstation graphics, and supports up to 512MB ultra-fast GDDR3 memory. Implementation of rotated-grid FSAA introduces far greater sophistication in the multi-sampling pattern, significantly increasing color accuracy and the visual quality of edges and lines.

Leadtek will also introduce the NVIDIA Quadro FX 4000 SDI, a workstation-based graphics solution enabling breakthrough weather, news, sports, and virtual-set broadcast as well as video and film post production. The FX 4000 SDI is the ideal solution for digital broadcast professionals, who use various applications such as virtual-sets, sports, and weather news systems to composite live video footage onto virtual backgrounds and send the result to live video for TV broadcast. The NVIDIA Quadro FX 4000 SDI by Leadtek also allows film production, post-production, and finishing professionals to preview the results of 3D compositing, editing, and color grading in real time on HD broadcast monitors. This graphics-to-video-out solution delivers uncompressed 10-bit SDI from programmable graphics, enabling a direct connection to broadcast monitors, switchers, tape decks, or SDI projectors.

Leadtek now has a full range of Quadro PCI Express workstation graphics boards scaling in terms of performance capability. NVIDIA's latest SLITM graphics solutions will also be integrated into the new Quadro workstation graphics cards for performance and expandability. The Quadro FX 4400, FX 3400, and FX 1400 professional graphics cards feature NVIDIA scalable link interface (SLI) technology, which harnesses the combined power of two NVIDIA Quadro FX graphics boards in one system, to the workstation market. Depending on the application, NVIDIA SLI can deliver as much as 2x the performance of a single GPU configuration for unparalleled working experiences.
