Taipei/Computex 2002, 06-03-2002 - Leadtek, the leading multimedia communications company, shows leadership in the worldwide growing GPS and Pocket PC Market by winning the "Best of export product" award in the Accessory category with the world's smallest GPS receiver in Compact Flash Type 1 form factor. The card featuring navigation capabilities upgrades various devices offering a Compact Flash slot for Telematic applications.
The new GPS-9534 Compact Flash card is exhibiting on Leadtek booth in Hall 1 A507, A508, and A509. The GPS 9534 has dimension of 80 x 42 x 11 mm and designed to meet the needs of current and future applications such as location-based services, personal and mobile navigation, car navigation, marine navigation as well as fleet management and many other possible options.
The device offers 12 channels All-in-View tracking. The GPS hardware is compatible to support standard NMEA-0183 and features a RF connector for automatic detection of external GPS antenna. For power management the module shows low power consumption with trickle power mode, power saving function and featuring an onboard rechargeable backup battery. With WASS capabilities for improved accuracy where applicable the Compact Flash GPS card offers superior sensitivity for urban canyon and foliage environment..
